Happy Sunday all,
I spent all day yesterday building a new website on the temporary domain assigned by my hosting company (network solutions)
Since I finished it, this morning I went on WP Admin and changed the website url to my domain name. My understanding was this is all I needed to do to replace my old website with the new website I built on the domain name I already owned.
Since changing the site url in the WP admin, I’ve not been able to access the temporary site, or my domain name whatsoever. And I can’t get either of them to take /wp-admin to undo those changes in the WP admin menu.
Any insight you guys could share would be greatly appreciated. Hoping I didn’t lose a day’s worth of progress here.
Thank!

Do you have access to the hosting panel (CPanel or otherwise)? You’ll need to access the wp-config file or PHPMyAdmin to correct this.
It is unfortunately not quite as simple to swap the URL as you’d like. It would be better to use a migration tool, which will help you avoid any potential issues like this.
You have to point the domain to the specific folder to reflect a new website on the domain. This has to be done in domain settings. If you send me all details here in dm I will be able to fix it within 24 hours. Thanks
