Troubleshooting Safari Link Accessibility Issue on WordPress Site

[ad_1]

Hello! I have a strange issue with one of the sites I created for a friend. He randomly cannot open the link to some of his posts on Safari. As far as I know, it only happens on Safari, since every time he says it’s not working for other browsers like Chrome, Edge, and Mozilla, it’s fine. The error message reads: ‘Safari cannot open the page because the server cannot be found.’

I have tried updating plugins, WordPress to the latest version, and so on. Also, I did some research, but all the fixes seem to be for Safari. Is there something I can do on the website to fix this issue? Since it occurs on different devices and with different users, it’s not just an isolated case.

The site is created on WordPress.org, and I’m using a theme that I’ve used before without encountering this issue. Has anyone experienced a similar error and found a solution?

I suggested to him to use a URL shortener (t.ly), and since then, he hasn’t had the issue. However, I’m not entirely sure if that fixed the problem since it occurs randomly and not very often.

  1. Did you empty your browser cache? If it’s a working link on multiple devices and multiple browsers only once in a while on safari on his device it doesn’t work, my number one thought would be browser cache.

What if he opens an incognito window when this happens? Does the link work?
