Hey, folks! I want to build a site with the functionality of [Meetup.com]). Users log in, join groups, and create and attend events. I’ve looked at Ultimate Member (and comparable plugins) and its integrations with The Event Calendar and Suite Plugins (which appears to be defunct). I also checked out Buddypress.
The solutions I see are *so* close, but I don’t see a way to create events *within* groups. The event add-ons I see are just created by members on their profiles.
My end game is to have a membership site with many small groups, which host local events.
Building this sort of thing from scratch is way above my pay grade, so I’m looking at plugins specifically. But I’m open to other ideas as well.
