I’ve been using WordPress a long while for my site and various client projects. I’ve downloaded themes mostly from ThemeForest/Envato Market, and noticed all of them are no longer supported or temporarily removed from Envato Market – even the most recent one. Part of the challenge is it feels like themes I’ve purchased over the past 5 years in particular are bundled with far too many customizations (5 child themes I never use but can’t seem to delete), the documentation is light, and the designs feel pretty complicated.
I really would prefer avoid Squarespace; at the same time starting a new design and learning WebFlow to make templates is not what I have time to do. (Maybe there are other options). I love the CMS portion of WordPress so that I can show/hide various porfolio pages by keeping them password protected, and am hoping to find quality templates that aren’t a headache to learn where customizations are buried. I want to keep my hosting and domain, so moving to Divi and having to migrate to yet another system doesn’t feel great. I also don’t need the generic Twenty Twenty-Three template – I’m just looking for something that is elegant without needing a manual to keep it going.
Outside of Theme Forest, where would you go to get higher quality themes? Thanks!
