Every tutorial I find is either too advanced, or uses Elementor or other site builders or templates.
I have the simplest site in the world. Blogs on about 5 different topics. All I want is an attractive page where a person can choose a topic and see the blogs. The problem I have is that I don't know where to start in terms of creating the pages. I've spent countless hours over the past week watching tutorials and trying to mimic them, but nothing works out.
Is there a basic, no frills tutorial that explains how to create a nice looking page using the Blocks editor?
Can anyone offer advice for where I should start?
I really like the very beautiful templates that Elementor brings, but its operations are too complicated and the learning cost is high.
If you just have a simple blog, I believe that the basic template “twentytwentyfour” is beautiful enough. You only need to learn from some references to make the website very beautiful.

Although it has many problems, such as the e-commerce system does not automatically wrap lines, etc., it is a theme worth recommending. With your default installation and the support of several plug-ins, I believe you will be able to get started soon.
Then it comes with some free plug-ins to decorate and increase the effectiveness.
1.Images can be copied to the clipboard and directly pasted and uploaded to the wordpress plug-in

2.Twentig Plugin. A free and powerful WordPress plugin that brings essential tools to supercharge your website.

These are not my sales pitches. I just recommend that you start with the basic version of the theme so that you can learn it faster. Although Elementor is beautiful, it has many limitations.
I hope these can help you![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|give_upvote)
