Twitter Cards not displaying descriptions.

I’m using the Yoast SEO plugin to insert meta tags into my WordPress posts for FB and Twitter Cards.

Everything seems to be working properly on Facebook, but when I post a link on Twitter, it doesn’t really show anything except the image. I was hoping that it would pull the image, post title, site title and description text into the card.

The Twitter card validator says it’s correct and I also checked to see what the tags look like using the FB scraper and everything looks correct.

I’ve posted a test and looked at it on the mobile app and a desktop browser and it looks fine.

Is this something that has changed on Twitter’s side? What am I missing?
