Two WooCommerce Stores, Seperate pages, Same Site, One needs password protection

[ad_1]

Ok everyone.

I need to set up a dealer store/portal on a site I’m currently running which has presented several challenges.

\*Some notes: Woocommerce does not easily allow filtering to display a set of products in the default store.

\———

1st: to accommodate two tiers of pricing(consumer/dealer) I have devised the following strategy:

duplicate products for dealer pricing(appending naming structure to avoid confusion) and add a “dealer” product category tag.

I can now add the “product category” archive pages to the menu structure as stores to have multiple stores displaying only the correct items/pricing structure.

2nd. I now have to devise a way to password protect the “dealer” product category archive page which I have enabled in the Menu structure.

however, there is not a way to natively require a password to view a product category archive page singularly.

currently my solve is to utilize “woocommerce protected categories” from Barn2 plugins.

My question is – Is there a better/free method of requiring a password on a “product Category” archive page that is being called from the menu.

Thanks in advance for any input!
