I have been using WordPress for over a decade, have even hacked/modified themes, etc. I am befuddled– I am unable to ‘Add Media’ (a simple jpg image) to any pages on my site running WP 6.1.1. When I add an iimage, it never appears in either the text code for the page or as an image. This is bizarre. Any ideas what is causing this? I have tried switching to several theme but they all behave the same way. Happens on any page I try to add an image to. The pages are just simply text of a paragraph or less. I have deactivated ALL plugins including the Classic Editor, and still I am unable to add media (jpg image) to any pages of the site.
