Unclear what is included in each plan and general diffiuclty

[ad_1]

I needed to get WordPress for school, and it's been really frustrating.

However, when I purchased the $4 per month plan, it didn't let me edit certain aspects of my site. Even when I upgraded to the $8 per month plan, I still couldn't edit certain aspects of my site. I can't use any plugins; many of the menu options under the "appearances" tab aren't there, I can't use the classic editor, I cant edit the margins of my pages or blocks, and I can't even customize themes.

Is everything locked behind the $25 per-month plan???

  1. [wordpress.com](http://wordpress.com) is somewhat limited in terms of the customization options offered on the lower pricing plans. According to their pricing page (https://wordpress.com/pricing/), only the Creator plan and above can install plugins.

There are a lot of differences between [wordpress.com](http://wordpress.com) and [wordpress.org](http://wordpress.org), which you can read more about here: [https://www.reddit.com/r/Wordpress/comments/rremcd/the_difference_between_wordpress_com_and_org/](https://www.reddit.com/r/Wordpress/comments/rremcd/the_difference_between_wordpress_com_and_org/)
