hi WordPress fans,

i have a page url in this format: http://site/pagetitle. Somehow wordpress is redirecting everything that looks similar to this page… /pagetitl /pagetit /pageti and even /p seems to be automatically redirected to /pagetitle.

It’s preventing me from implementing another idea that coincidentally makes use of part of this page title in the url, and thus is being automatically redirected to this existing page.

For this idea i am trying to add a rewriteurl in .htaccess. If i use the htaccess tester on madewithlove, the output is as expected. But on my site, it keeps redirecting everything that starts with (even only the first character) this pagetitle to the existing pagetitle.

Hoping you can help me out to figure out what’s causing this.
