Hey guys, I have a website currently on wordpress which is a free wordpress account which we started in 2019 and we intend to grow further and establish it as a proper business. We are thinking of going for a premium plan with a .com. Do you recommend wordpress or should I go for an alternative like Namecheap for my own domain and hosting.
Additionally, assuming I upgrade to a premium plan on wordpress, will it affect my current traffic and backlinks and secondly, will moving to Namecheap affect my current traffic and backlinks too.
Any other suggestions on where I can get my own domain and hosting which is the main reason we want to move to a premium plan on wordpress.

Definitely get your own hosting elsewhere – it’s cheaper, and you get full access to your server and anything else you want to do. None of your SEO-related things will be affected, assuming you are moving a duplication of your site to the new hostint.
