Urgent Help Needed: Locked Out of Private WordPress Blog with Sensitive Content

[ad_1]

# Hello everyone,

I’m reaching out for urgent assistance regarding a deeply personal issue with my private WordPress blog, [tshuka.wordpress.com](http://tshuka.wordpress.com), which I have been maintaining since 2009. This blog is an essential part of my therapeutic process, where I review past entries and write new ones with my psychotherapist to address and resolve years of childhood trauma. Given the sensitive nature of the content, it has always been kept private—it is my ‘sacred space’ online.

Recently, when attempting to log in, I received a message stating that I was ‘blocked for security purposes.’ This was unexpected as I did not initiate this lockout, raising concerns that someone else may have tried to access my account. I took some steps to try and see if my email address is still associated with the account. When I log into my WordPress account, my blog does not show up as an option to access or edit. Additionally, I have attempted to send a recovery email many times but never received it. This strongly suggests that my associated email address may have been changed.

To provide some context, I have been targeted by racist hackers from an online community due to my nationality and political affiliations. A few years ago, they gained access to my Gmail and Twitter accounts, but I thought the issue was resolved after many password changes. However, this recent incident with WordPress has reignited those concerns.

I checked my Gmail, the email address associated with my blog where I previously received all WordPress communications. Unfortunately, I no longer have any emails from WordPress, suggesting someone may have deleted them. When I visit the URL [tshuka.wordpress.com](http://tshuka.wordpress.com), the blog is still active, which adds to my confusion and distress.

I paid for membership with WordPress to gain access to the support forums and “happiness engineers.” I think I was contacted by a happiness engineer, but I’m not sure if it was that or simply forum members (link: [https://wordpress.com/forums/topic/deeply-personal-problem/](https://wordpress.com/forums/topic/deeply-personal-problem/)). I asked if they could confirm whether the associated email address has been changed recently. They ignored my question and simply stated, “We cannot tell you what the email address associated with the account is.” They keep reiterating that the only way to prove membership is to pull up the authentication URL, recovery codes, and other related information—all of which would be in my Gmail history. I have all my history there since opening the Gmail account in the late 00s, and I do not delete any emails. These emails disappeared, and I never set up two-factor verification.

I am at a loss and need any and all advice on how to proceed. This blog contains highly sensitive information dating back to 2009. If anyone here is a WordPress expert or knows a WordPress expert or someone who works at WordPress whom I can contact, that would be extremely helpful. Additionally, any guidance on how to file an appeal to prove my case would be invaluable. I know the blog’s content intimately and have other means to confirm ownership. I need advice on how to bypass the robotic repetition of “this is our policy” and make an appeal.

Resolving this issue is extremely important to me as this blog holds immense personal value. I have subscribed to an Explorer plan specifically to obtain priority support for this matter. If I did not contact the happiness engineers, how do I do that? The process is quite confusing, and I am finding it not to be very user-friendly. Could someone guide me through this process step-by-step? I am willing to compensate for your time.

Thank you very much for your help.

Hoping someone here can assist or point me in the right direction.

Best,
Tshuka
