Use Google Analytics to track WordPress subdomain

[ad_1]

Hey Guys,

Let’s say I have a website [example.com]). This is a static site. I want to create functionality for a blog on the site, but do not want to code the entire blog functionality. For this I would like to use a website builder such as WordPress. If on my nav bar I click the blog, I should be taken to [blog.example.com]), which should be a subdomain of the main website or alternative options that work. I also need to ensure that I can track user journey and enable my existing google analytics to track this subdomain. At the same time I don’t want to lose out on SEO, where I can track going from the main static website to the wordpress blog as a single user journey in GA.

Is this possible with wordpress?

Thanks in advance.

  1. Yes. Google SiteKit and a few other SEO plugins can inject your GA property onto your WordPress site.
