am I currect to understand you actually make use of wp_sessions to store data?
wp_woocommerce_sessions

I am currently looking into a site_diagnose error saying I have open session_start() and it seems to be related to the PayPal plugin.
Are you familiar with this or do you expect this to be related to something else?
