Hi, I’m trying to create a site where users generate all content. The input will include a video link, pictures, text description and some categories that I can use to sort content as it grows. No worries on the form. Plugins are readily available for that.
I’m using SeedProd to build the rest of the site (I can’t code, non tech guy). Seems ok, and it can generate a custom format for displaying the posts on my site just fine. They will all be the same format, which helps.
How the heck do I map the various fields from the input form to my custom post layout though?!? There’s a post content block in SeedProd that I can drag and drop , but it dumps all of the input fields into a single block lie a drunk monkey. It looks putrid and I can’t edit it.
I’m using WP User Frontend for the input form at the moment. Seems fine. But I can’t figure out how to break up fields in the user generated inputs and map them nicely onto a post format that is not a disaster. Video would go in one block, links to other sites in another, text in another etc. SeedProd told me via support email to do it with shortcode…. what shortcode?? All I can find is shortcode for the whole input form which is the mess I’m trying to get past.
This all seems way harder than it needs to be. Google turns up not much. Pls help!
