In my author-sitemap.xml there are only URL-s to the users with a role above to “subscriber”, but I need to show subscribers aswell, because I have created author archive pages for them (these contain custom post type content).
I have turned the following settings ON in Yoast “Search Appearance > Archives > Author Archives”:
Author archives
Show author archives in search results?
Show archives for authors without posts in search results?
TESTING
When I change any subscriber to editor (for testing purpose) then they appear to author-sitemap.xml. So it’s just a matter of user role setting somewhere. I’ve gone through all possible options and haven’t found any way to control that.
I see that in Yoast there use to be a filter to control user roles in sitemaps:
That’s what I’m missing right now with the author archive settings.
Since there’s not that option what would be the solution?
