Using a JS Framework to develop the Front-End (or alternatives)

[ad_1]

Hello! I work as a Front End developer since 3 years ago and I'm used to use front-end frameworks like React, Angular and Vue with Springboot and NodeJs back-ends. I have a side project for a client which wants a self-administered website. I don't have too much time to develop a custom back-end system and my client said he's used to work with WordPress, so we are picking this.

Is there anyway to build a WP site using one of the Front-End JS frameworks? I'm not into using Elementor and such plugins to build the UI when I can actually code this. I know there is the Headless WordPress version but after reading some one the posts here it's really not suggested for this kind of projects and custom themes are prefered.

What would you suggest me for this project? I'm looking for the most optimized and fast way to do this without using too much plugins. I don't have a problem spending time to learn how to build custom themes, but I don't know if it's possible using frameworks for such task, I can use vanilla JS too but it takes more time and I really want to pick a faster solution. I'm open to pick vastly different alternatives for this! Thank you 🙂

  1. Php, underscore theme, ACF Pro to build blocks or use React the default way.  Code css and js like normal.

  2. If you like that declarative style of modern JS frameworks, you might want to try using AlpineJS.
