using cloudways and want to restrict access for a while..

[ad_1]

Basically i need to not have the site be publicly accessible until needed. Right now, I have the maintenancemode plug-in and it sort of works. It’s a pain because of, i think, the caching. For example, I’m using the backdoor password option and it works sometimes and doesn’t work other times, if I clear cache on breeze and varnish then it works.

Is there a simple way to make it such that only logged in users can access the site?

  1. Well if you are still using the cloudwaysapps .com domain, no one likely would happen upon it.

Otherwise, most maintenance/coming soon plugins will do this.

  2. Cloudways has a staging feature. Lock down the live site and work in staging. Then push staging live.
