Using WordPress Bookings

[ad_1]

Hi WordPress community đź‘‹

I am designing my first website / business and it is going well. However I’ve run into an issue with the crux of my whole idea – the live quote and booking through the site.

WordPress bookings seems great, but I think I ran into some limitations. Is this a flaw, or am I doing it wrong? There is no options for variable bookings. You can define an employee as a “resource” and book them for a specific time. Great, but what are you booking them for?

Specifically, after the customer chooses their tutor, I would love to have customer select “in person” or “virtual”. Or math vs history vs English. Is there a setting to make those additional options customer defined at booking, with different prices?

Only way I see how is to:

1) Have everything define as a separate resource. So for example “John – virtual – math” is a separate option.

2) create separate pages and calendars for each tutor. So go to John’s page and select “virtual – math”

Both options feel pretty clunky which I think will discourage bookings. Another issue is the layout and color of the calendar. Is there no way to customize that in the settings? I would love available time slots to appear on the bottom, not with a drop-down scroll. Is there another plugging I need to get that does that?

Thank you everyone!
