I am being told by my developer that it is not possible to authenticate App users using WordPress login credentials without building a RESTful API – is this true?
I have a really simple idea for an app.
All I want to do is to let users log in using their existing credentials from my WordPress site – upon successful authentication they will be redirected to a second page that displays data from a CSV file that is updated regularly.
My developer is asking for over $1000 and this seems like a really simple job to me.
Its literally 2 pages – a log in page and and a dashboard that displays contents of a CSV file already present on the website.
I need the App to work on both Iphone and Android.
How would you go about this?
