Using WordPress to sell digital products through a credit based membership system

I’m looking to create an online store where I will sell custom digital products. I would like customers to pay a subscription to buy credits so they can choose which products they buy. Each product is custom and will be manually produced initially, although in time I would like to integrate Python so I can directly upload them (if that is possible with WordPress). Because they are custom I will need to have a users login area where I can upload the product so the customer can download them. Can anyone point me in the right direction where this may be possible?

Edit: would shopify be better for this?
