That said, if you want to show the VAT per-line basis in the order list, and itemized in the totals, my recommendation is to get Premium Templates, which provided the customizer, a tool that helps you to tailor your PDF invoices with blocks, and achieve a set-up like this:
In this screenshot, you can see that I added several new columns: thumbnail, single product price (excluding tax), tax rate, and VAT. Please note that you can add the same block twice with several settings, e.g. two Price blocks for the single price and the total price.
