I was grandfathered into free backups on my host (LiquidWeb) but they said that had to end and want me to switch to Acronis which is $60/month for my rather large site.
I see that VaultPress is cheaper ($96 for the year with a discount I have) but Jetpack is also now charging me for Social, and I’ve learned the hard way that Jetpack can be a pain in the neck or other anatomical part.
Any suggestions as to which is better? I’d like to save money but that is harder every day!

UpdraftPlus is free. Send the backups to remote storage like S3, Dropbox, G Drive.
No one pays for backups any more.
