I know absolutely nothing about WordPress and have been reading and learning. I need to put a front page/place holder page/whatever the word would be that has maybe a picture and a link to email and social media. I will most likely end up hiring someone who knows what they are doing to design a whole website but want a way for people to contact us before that’s done.
Is that possible for a super beginner? Most technology and programs do not intimidate me but this one does.

Go to localwp.com and download “Local”. Install it to setup WP on your desktop computer that you can use to learn and test stuff out. When you’re feeling confident, purchase some hosting and build your live site.
