video autoplay not working on iphone

I’m using a theme, and when I check the theme files, the “playsinline” attribute is, as far as I can tell, correctly applied to the appropriate video classes. But still, these videos won’t autoplay on iphone, no matter the browser. It works fine on desktop and android.

Any help with this hugely appreciated!
