Hello @halielambert
Thank you for reaching out and I am happy to assist you with this.
This notification does not come from W3 Total Cache, it comes from the Smush plugin. What happens is that both W3 Total Cache and Smush plugin have some similar features. Both W3TC and Smush have Lazyloading for images and webp conversion.
This notification simply suggests that if you enable those features in both plugins, you could experience some undesired conflict.
To sum up, you can use both plugins at the same time, however, make sure that if you are using Lazyloading or webp conversion with the Smush plugin, those options should be disabled in the W3 Total Cache and vice versa.
We’ve already reached out to the Smush team with the suggestion to change the notification and have more precise information.
I hope this helps and let me know if you have any other questions.
Thanks!
Thank you, I haven’t enabled lazy load and webp conversion in w3tc so it means it must be disabled by default right?
Hello @halielambert
Thank you for your feedback.
That is correct. Those options are not enabled by default in W3 Total Cache.
In case you are using those in Smush, you should keep them disabled in the W3 Total Cache.
Thanks!
