I signed up for a wordpress.org account about a week ago. I received an email almost immediately stating my account was ready to set up. The email included a link to set up a password.
However, whenever I click on the link, it states my account is still pending approval. It hasn’t changed for a week. I want to ask a question on the WordPress forum (I see plenty of people getting their issues resolved that way) but you have to be able to log in to post on the forum.
Omg help. I sent an email to a WordPress support email address but who knows how long that will take. Anyone have something similar? How can I get a question posted on that forum without an account?

That email you’re provided is the only method of getting help. Real people read those, so hang tight.
Their support email is normally pretty quick. I had an issue last week and got my first reply within 30 minutes. Further replies to my queries came through within 10 to 15 minutes each.
