Hi there. I was building wordpress websites using Elementor. But after using bricks on my portfolio site I have became a fan of it. It’s so lightweight and faster than Elementor and maintaining good page speed without any caching plugin.
As I already know html and css and keen on learning javascript. My plan is to continue using page builder(bricks) and if there is anything needed for custom coding then I’ll use html, css, javascript on top of bricks. I’m also following Kevin Geary’s tutorials.
My question is, Elementor has a huge fanbase. Some clients from marketplace directly mentions about Elementor to build their website. Will it be a wise decision?

Learning more could never hurt. Elementor is a great builder and has a lot of benefits in terms of functionality compared to most of the basic builders. You should definitely stick with your preference but knowing and learning more never hurts.
Learn php.
Well, it’s a risk. It’s easier to make money with Elementor because it attracts more clients.
I’d say use both. Offer both options to your clients. You can use Bricks when you can, and use Elementor when you have to, so you won’t lose money. If they choose poorly, it’s on them.
My advice to you is to stop being a WordPress developer and start being a developer. Meaning – if you just learn Elementor or Bricks then it translates less easily into other avenues.
I would learn PHP, learn ACF, and make your own themes and own blocks. Those skills translate outside of WordPress.
Learn sales.
I find it bizarre how people can use WP without PHP knowledge. Like, when you get a fatal error, do you just curl up and die?
