Webflow dev here: Any reason to learn WordPress as well?

[ad_1]

Hi guys, new here, just been wondering if I should also learn WP to improve my portfolio. Freelancing gigs have been super hard to get with just Webflow in my arsenal. Appreciate any advice on why/how/where to learn WP. Thanks, guys!

  1. A few things that spring to mind for why you should learn WP:

    * Market share of around 45%, compared to 0.9%
    * Significantly more job prospects
    * You aren’t locked into a proprietary platform
    * Infinite selection of plugins
    * Open source
    * Can you even do development on webflow? I thought it was a “you can use what we give you” type thing?

    Read these before you start to search help on WP gurus’ sites.

    Avoid page builders. Elementor is worst. My suggestion for site editing:

    GeneratePress plus GenerateBlocks (blocks)

    Frost (FSE theme)

    Breakdance with Breakdance-Zero-Master-Theme (builder)
