Website became slow after a day – W3 Total Cache

I configured the W3 Total Cache settings and it worked great. Then I woke up and wanted to check the performance again and it was the same as before I optimised it with W3 Total Cache. What is the reason for this? Is the cache being removed somehow and I need to regenerate it?
