Website is too slow, is this normal?

Purchased a plan today to make a quick portfolio and maybe to use as a blog later on, nothing complicated. Anything regarding the website loads too slowly. Sometimes doesn’t even load. I am not talking about the website I’m hosting or anything. The administrator side, even to log in WordPress… I’m afraid of clicking anything thinking I have to deal with 30+ sec load time. I tried different browsers, cleared cache, cookies whatever. I only have this with WordPress. Everything else works smoothly. Is this normal? I can’t see any issues posted about this either.
