Website Issues from Malcare?

[ad_1]

Let me preface this by saying I’m not a developer. I realize my decision-making here could be the problem, but also, maybe not.

A week ago I downloaded the plugin Malcare to my website because I wanted some extra protection, and I was getting a weird error trying to sign into my website (which has since gone away).

Then I started reading on here from older posts about how it’s not necessary to use, and could slow down the site, so while in the middle of the website sync with Malcare, I decided to pause, delete my website from their database and then delete the plugin from my website.

Now, all of a sudden the cache doesn’t appear to be working. Also, Twitter bot is no longer pulling the images from my website either.

Could this all be a coincidence? This all started last week I guess with the weird login error that other were having too.

Maybe GoDaddy can help me out too. It just all lines up with this Firewall app but when I go through the file manager I find no traces of the plugin.

edit: I went through my email to see when I started to set up Malcare and it was on 12/13. The last page that I published on my website was on 12/15, so I do not think it was Malcare after all unless it could have some kind of residual effect, which doesn’t make much sense.
