Website speed issue on mobile

[ad_1]

I am having an issue with the speed of my website on mobile devices. I have checked my website speed using Google PageSpeed Insights and I am getting a score of +90 on desktop but -50 on mobile.

I have already taken some steps to improve my website speed, such as using a CDN, removing all unnecessary plugins, and optimizing my images. However, I am still not seeing the results I am looking for in the mobile.

I would appreciate it if you could help me troubleshoot this issue.

  1. Are you running too many scripts? If possible put them in the footer not the header so they load last. What is PageSpeed telling you is slowing down the site?

  2. I was in your shoes but it all comes down to use pagespeed and go one by one, fixing one thing after another. Just dont let go until you fix the problem and only then move to the next one. If you want, share url either here or DM and I will have a look. my site is 96 on mobile and 100 on PC.

    Few advices here:
    – Dont try to cover shit up. Try to solve the problem instead of covering it up with plugins.
    – Pay attention to DOM sizes. If you use pagebuilder, think twice about how you make your columns, divs etc. Dont use unnecessary divs inside another divs, lot of time we can get rid of many divs without actually changing the resulting design.
    – Try not to use google fonts or host them localy if you must.
    – Dont use plugin for images, if you can. Reupload your images in webp format directly. Of course, if you have a huge website, this might be a problem but generally, overwriting img tags or htaccess rewrites just slow down your site, makes your media library huge etc. just upload optimized webp directly, WP supports this well, all the modern browsers support it well too.
    – If you cannot get to the bottom of a speed problem, use things like Query monitor or similar to find out the problem. Go deep. Fix problem, dont cover it up.
    – Its important to find your most used plugins, pick them carefully. Dont just wander around the plugin repository. Invest some time to make up your plugin selection and try to use ones that cover more things than just one. That way, you dont need milions of plugins but rather you can stick to the ones that cover it all. Example would be Thrive Suite.

  3. Can you provide all stats?

    Time to first byte…server responce?

    CLS?

For instance you can have bad CLS on mobile but good in desktop.

Google PageSpeed Insights adjustment usually takes a lot of time and consists of a lot of small tasks.

Main, to my opinion, is Server responce time, cashing, brouser ccashing, CLS, page less then 1mb…

If all done + CDN and usually all good. It is also depends on theme…

  4. We can’t help without seeing your site or the report. The reports tell you where you can improve.
