What are the steps to design + create a website in wordpress

I am an online marketing freelancer and would like to develop my skills in webdesign + creation of wordpress websites.

Which steps are the main steps? Where can I learn them in the most efficient way?

I was thinking about designin in adobe Xd, building the website with elementor and making changes at the theme with html css…

Or what should I google for, so I can learn about all the steps I need to build great websites for my customers?
