I really like the look and feel (plus functionality) of Xenforo and understand that the forum software (whilst not being part of the WP ecosystem) can be integrated with WP using a third party plugin.

So with this in mind, is there a WP forum software that is comparable to Xenforo, and if not, how much effort would be required to get something like BBPress up to a similar standard as Xenforo?
