What happens when you turn on Multi-site subdomains on a single site subdomain ? Or create the same site but on a Multi-site subdomain ?

I currently have my main website on a a subdomain, for example RedBull.Energydrinks.com, but it resides on a subdomain of a single site installation.

What happens if I turn on Multi-site ? On the root domain ? And I create another subdomain with the same name as my site currently ?

Also is it possible to create a Muti-site on a single site subdomain ?

There is going to be a huge conflict.
What happens then ?
