Hello guys, I would like to know how much a junior developer and a senior developer gets paid as a wordpress developer wherever you are. This includes Devs who use page builders like elementor ,to those who build themes or plugins from scratch.
Developers in companies are paid between 1k and 3-4k euro depending on their experience, but I know freelancers who make 10k/month easy while outsourcing projects
“itjobswatch co uk” will give you tech insights.
The rest is your skillset, negotiation and the value you bring.
WP theme and plugin dev, 4 years of experience, 3500€/mo. Could probably get a bit more by switching jobs
wordpress developer is a very broad term imo. It could be someone who works only with CSS and drag and drop, or a senior php dev, or a full stack dev, etc.
I saw salary ranges anywhere from barely 800 eur per month up to €140,000 (140K) per year + bonuses
EDIT, I read you wanted to know locations: first one of the extreme was in North of Italy, the other one was for a dev I know living in the EU working for the US. They were both “WordPress Devs” but of course they were/are doing REALLY different things 🙂
EDIT 2: if you can, get to a good city. In my experience south of Europe and the UK for example pay really low salaries and life is still quite expensive there
In the USA
– Midwest 75k-85k
– Coasts cities 110-150k
Is WordPress developer actually a salaried position? As a web designer I pretty much figured that most of the industry is freelancers. I can’t see WordPress being a full-time job unless there’s a lot of content that needs to be updated on a regular basis.
I’m so lost on why people charge so much for a website that isn’t your own proprietary software. I’m not trying to knock anyone but it’s confusing how selling another company’s software is a lucrative career. I mean, the people who get these websites can genuinely do it themselves. Never understood this.
UK; mostly work as a consultant (not exclusively development, but majority based on billables), the last few years have been in excess of £100k – hourly rate can range from £40-60; working for agencies charging effectively double that, so there’s room for growth
Wha? Lol
$50K-60K CAD
In the Netherlands about 3k pre-tax, which is absolutely diabolical. Freelance between 60-85ish an hour.
Depends on skillset also but this is a good range
Eastern Europe $ 45-75k
India $10-18k
Pakistan and Bangladesh $6k – 12k
UK $60k+
US $90k+
