Hi wordpress developers!
I got a client who wants me to build a wordpress website where international buyer can find reliable suppliers in Pakistan for multiple products category.
Site functionally requirements:
1. The buyers and suppliers should be allowed to register/sign in and add listings and their business information such as website, phone, address etc.
2. The should be able to approve or disapprove profiles and listings.
3. All members can visit different profiles and directly message them or submit a requestbor offer.
4. Website should also have a warehousing and order fulfillment page where buyers/retailors could find credible warehousing products for their services.
5. .Buyers/Suppliers will directly deal with each other and will not be make payments on my cleint's website. My client will not charge any commission and the website will just be a medium for buyers-suppliers networking.
The client wants a simple UI which will I have to customise. This is my Frist web development client and I'm a bit nervous on them selection and other website functionality requirements. I have built a couple of wordpress/WooCommerce website but those were created on starter sites so I'm just a little nervous. What I need is a quick roadmap on how to handle this project. The good thing is I have about 10 working days for this project. Any help would be highly appreciated.
What you describe is a marketplace like Amazon, Alibaba or Fiverr, which is the most complicated form of a website you can build. I got a feeling both you and the client have no idea what you’re getting yourself into.
Yes, just get the Amazon Theme, it comes pre configured to handle hundreds of APIs right out of the box. It also has payment gateways that will service Pakistan, which is among the most difficult countries in the world to find a payment gateway processor for.
Because the fraud rates in those regions is TROUGH THE ROOF.
I feel like this is sarcasm? I really hope it’s just rage bait or a joke 😂
If you can honestly ~~answer~~ rethink all questions you have enumerated, there is a good chance that you will pass this project.

You are very, very optimistic one. The Dunning–Kruger effect will hit, unavoidable.

All of them, yet none of them.
Look to build a custom theme then you have full control over it.
Is this the joke of the day?
WP Geodirectory would be the closest thing. I’m termes of warehousing/order fulfilment you’ll have to use a 3rd party service.

The best theme to me is the one I built and continue to improve across projects. I know how it works, I know the structure etc… Best here is subjective

10 working days? Lol
use opencart with webkul marketplace extension, I think it will suit your project more than wordpress.
Having 10 working days for this is NOT good, at all!
The audacity of this project lmao
You’re likely spend 10 days alone applying “minor” tweaks from their feedback lol
Oof, you don’t just build a two sided marketplace on WordPress in 10 days as your first project…
10 days hahaha 😂
Asks which theme is “the best”…proceeds to describe a boatload of functionality that has nothing to do with themes 🙄
I want to know how it ends.Best of luck and keep us updated 🙂
Buddyboss theme with buddyboss pro.
Gives you a membership with directory of members and a way to email each other etc.
Within buddyboss you can assign different profile types, that can be vendors and buyers.
I am loving the jokes on this thread, and agree that the client has little idea if you have 10 days.
I am certain you are also getting paid in a few hundred dollars for this as well.
So yeah, cobble together the functionality with buddyboss etc.
Hope this helps. 👍
please keep us updated
Try FotaWP. They are multipurpose theme and also have child theme
lol
The best theme is Blocksy
You can try using a HivePress plugin, they have many different themes that might work for you: [https://hivepress.io/themes/](https://hivepress.io/themes/)
