What’s the best alternative to GA4 for tracking blog analytics?

[ad_1]

My blog receives traffic of about 5k+ per month. I can say GA4 is just a pain to use. I am not even sure if the numbers are correct. What would be the best-suited analytics for blogs? I see that Matomo, Plausible, and Seline.so are being recommended, but let me know of any other alternatives you know of.

  1. A couple of clients have started using Plausible alongside GA4 to test the water, and it seems pretty good so far. Am also looking at Umami, but haven’t yet tested it on a scale where I feel comfortable recommending; but it seems ok. Matomo feels like a good path to go down though as it is GDPR compliant, has a focus on data privacy etc.

We’ve also shifted a lot of GA4 reporting over to Looker Studio because it’s just a lot easier to understand for most users. GA4 interface is garbage.
