I can find hardly any straight forward info on this topic.
I have a client wanting me to build them a pretty simple website – no ecommerce, it’s just a local biz site with basic pages such as services, about us, contact, etc.
Should I get them to signup with a hosting service such as [bluehost.com](https://bluehost.com) and get them to give me permissions to edit and make changes to the site, or should I get them to sign up with [wordpress.com](https://wordpress.com) (not .org) and do the same thing, or, should I set up my own account with [hostzinger.com](https://hostzinger.com) or [bluehost.com](https://bluehost.com) and manage the domain and hosting for them?
I’m a good website designer with quite a bit of experience with multiple CMS’s, but I’ve never built a site for somebody else using WordPress. I’m just not sure how to go about this. Shopify makes it incredibly easy to build a website for somebody else – but it seems WordPress does not.
And, if I go the hosting route then do I still have loads of custom functionality that comes with the WordPress Business plan? Such as adding plugins? Or do you have to pay WordPress for this type of functionality on top of hosting fees?
