What’s your preferred config for uptime monitors?

As the title states, what’s your. Preferred config for uptime monitors.
Using uptime robot paid – pings every 60s via http request.

Problem: Recently affected by the bricks builder vulnerability. Couple of our sites had redirect hacks and the monitor didn’t trigger, we had no idea it happened.

What’s the solution? A keyword monitor instead? The only issue I see with that is uptime robot doesn’t tell you the error. Might not be a big deal.

But anyways I ask you, what do you find to be the best setup?

  1. I similarly had a site hit with a redirect takeover exploit. Uptime robot did not detect it at all. Only sucuri could detect it – and I had tried like 5 other scanners. I use sucuri for that stuff now (and sometimes MalCare).

Make sure that any files that don’t need write access are set to read only. XML-rpc disabling should also help. I also like to make sure basic admin credentials are changed, block WP admin access by IP, and most importantly- stay on top of updates.
