Where should I put courses? Main domain or subdomain?

Hi, I'm adding LMS plugin to my existing website in the parenting niche. I'm wondering if there is any difference between having them on my main domain and creating a separate domain like courses.mywebsite.com.

What would you recommend? Our website is mostly related to parenting stuff. Currently, there is a blog and newsletter subscription forms, no subdomains.
