I’ve been running a wordpress company for the last 7 years. We specialise in creating community, event, learning and directory powered websites.
We also created a software platform that can turn these sites (WordPress, BuddyPress, The Event Calendar, Gamipress, wpGeoDirectory, bbPress and a few more) into native iOS and Android apps. I am very biased. But it’s pretty impressive.
Thing is, due to external factors, we’re now looking to exit the market. While we could happily sunset the majority of our operations, the feeling is that the app creating software would have real value – in the right hands. So we’re looking for potential buyers.
My question is – would anyone have any thoughts and/or advice on the best methods to find these buyers. It really is great software, but I am more than aware that it’s value would be based on finding the right buyer – a WordPress incumbent who sees the opportunity of creating apps for their customer base.
