To be clear when I say a non-wordpress coder/designer, I mean that I’m not a wordpress coder or designer – just a site owner (with an offline programming background).
I have a successful wordpress site that runs on Colormag, which I think looks good but it has speed issues and the menus aren’t what I want.
I want to redesign the website with Generatepress and Generateblocks (mostly to look the same but be faster and a little sharper designwise), but before that I’d like to make sure I fully understand it so that I can make the best choices for what blocks I use where etc.
I’ve followed a few YouTube tutorials but they all seem to scratch the surface, or only design a certain type of website, whereas I’m running a magazine style site and trying to do fairly specific things, like put the TOC in the sidebar etc.
I’ve heard Mike Oliver’s course “Generate Made Easy” course is good, any thoughts on that one/any other suggestions?
