White label code from a WordPress Template

[ad_1]

Some time ago, I purchased a WordPress template and would like to modify the code so that the theme no longer bears the company’s name, allowing me to use the template for my purposes. However, I’ve already tried changing all indications/names of the template seller within the code. For instance, almost all functions are named after the company. After modifying all 15,000 files and assigning a new name, I also changed all the names in the SQL database. Unfortunately, it completely broke the WordPress site. I’ve tried this in many variations now, and each time it resulted in breaking the WordPress site.

Does anyone have an idea or experience with white-labeling code? Does anyone have any suggestions? I’m starting to feel desperate.

  1. OMG! Why you changing functions? This not going to work mate. Most propably you don’t need to mess with template I doubt there will be some hardcoded branding inside.
