Who’s responsible for post styles?

[ad_1]

I’m curious what people think of this situation. I’m the webmaster for a large-ish company with several WordPress sites. There are 4 – 5 people who create blog content. One poster created a post and included an html table without any kind of styling. Of course, it’s ugly af and broken on mobile. So,they submitted a ticket as if this is a website issue. I went ahead and added some styles so it wouldn’t break on mobile.

Do you think styles within a post are the responsibility of the poster or the webmaster?

  1. Without any prior agreement, i’d guess it’d fall on the designer of the theme. Just include some general <table> styles that handle basic responsive design. If the content creator needs more specific styling, then that’s on them.
