Why are all themes not built the same way, and how are the different/similar to each other?

[ad_1]

I’ve been trying to wrap my mind around how themes are made, because right now when using different themes I feel as though there are completely different workflows, options and possibilities with different themes.

Could I ever achieve the same result of a website using two different themes? If I like a certain functionality of one theme, could I copy that and add it to my website? How do different themes work and what should I use?

  1. For the same reason not every house is built the same way, it all comes down to the person/people building it, their method of working, and their level of experience.

You can’t outright copy something from one site, plop it into a different site, and expect it to work, that’s why you got us developers to do the nitty-gritty bit of replicating various elements instead.
