Why do some WordPress pages have special designation?

[ad_1]

See the screenshot above. Note how “Home” page and “Privacy Policy” have this special designation highlighted in yellow and other pages don’t.

I can maybe understand why Home page has “Front Page” designation – it has “Main page – no parent” selected for it in the Parent menu. However, “Privacy Policy” has nothing similar as far as I can tell.

No other pages on my site have similar designations.

Can someone explain?

  1. They’ve been assigned as the specific page to be used for homepage & privacy policy.

For the front page and posts (blog) page you can set this in Settings > Reading.

For the privacy page, this is set in Settings > Privacy.
