Why does my page doesn’t show its own content but the content of the template I created?

I’m new to WordPress 6 and have been exploring – and suffering – to get through it.

I have installed the Pixl theme by Automattic itself and created a few templates for my pages. Although, after I created my page and selected which theme I wanted it to use, I was met with the page being precisely equal to the theme. No custom text, buttons, or any other blocks, everything is the same as the theme.
