Context: I started building a website through WordPress after purchasing a domain name through WordPress itself. Then I decided to get hosting from HostGator with the idea of building my site on WordPress through HostGator (following the how to build a website video from Tyler Moore). However, every time I try and open my site I instantly go to what I had already built on WordPress itself. Now I’m thinking about deleting my WordPress account in order to start from scratch, but I’m worried that I’ll lose my purchased domain name since I’ve purchased it on WordPress. Does anyone know what’ll happen?
